Description:

In this session we’ll discuss creating and fostering a healthy environment, and discuss case scenarios in a higher education environment. Whether you are addressing the concerns of one employee, or the dynamics of your team, managing conflict effectively requires thoughtful communication skills and an open and collegial environment that encourages employees to be accountable, act ethically and seek the root cause of the issue(s). Conflict is natural and if handled quickly and professionally, can result with growth and better working relations.

Registration and attendance to this session is limited to MPP administrators and Department Chairs.

Faculty & Staff – To register for this session:

1. Log into the myNorthridge Portal, in the Training/Professional Dev pagelet and Select “CSU Learn”, or visit: https://csu.sumtotal.host/Core/dash/home/Home_Northridge;
2. Select "Training Schedule” to view upcoming training on campus and select the date on the calendar for the course you which to attend;
3. Then select the course title; next select "Register;"
4. Click on the bullet next to the CSUN HR icon, and select “Submit” to enroll in this session.

Withdraw from Session: If you need to cancel your registration, select the “Self” icon in CSU Learn.  Select “Learning,” then “Registrations.”  Select the box next to the session you need to cancel, and select “Cancel Registration.”  In the next window, select “Confirm Cancellation.”
