How do You See the World? Examining Unconscious Bias & Micro-Aggressions

Wednesday, November 13, 2019 - 10:00am to 11:30am

Location:
HR Training Room, Oviatt Library Rm 16 - Garden Level

Facilitated By:

Marcy De Veaux, Professor, Department of Journalism & Associate Director, Faculty Development

Description:

How you see the world might lead to misperceptions of people and groups that are different from you. This 90-minute workshop is designed to give participants the tools to discover their own personal bias that can shape our perceptions about people and groups, often leading to micro-aggressions that can cause harm and trauma, impacting our students, staff and other faculty members.
