At California State University, Northridge, every employee plays an important part in the success of our students. To that end, our Professional and Personal Development Program oversees the annual programming of workshops and seminars available to faculty and staff, and to current and up-and-coming managers. In addition, the Professional Development Program oversees our New Employee Welcome Orientation Program.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMING: CONNECTING THE DOTS - Professional Development partners with campus colleagues and departments to build a robust Professional and Personal Development Program that will engage, inspire, and equip you to continue to be a dynamic and contributing factor in the success of our students. LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - Each year, Professional Development offers a series of seminars and workshops designed specifically for those in supervisory and managerial positions. While some sessions focus on training or improving processes surrounding internal business, the majority of sessions focus on developing the individual to become a manager, inspiring staff, and engaging in the promotion of the University.
STAFF SERVICE AWARDS & RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS - On June 2, 2015, Human Resources hosted the 49th annual Staff Service and Recognition of Excellence Awards Event. The Staff Service Awards are an opportunity for the University to recognize staff on their service. Each year we recognize staff who are marking completion of service in five year increments. At the 2015 Event, we honored approximately 420 staff and administrators who collectively have provided approximately 4,900 years of service to the University!
