The evolution of the new coronavirus, COVID-19 has brought many changes to the CSUN campus and CSUN Dining locations, including the decision to move all classes online and close most on-campus dining establishments. CSUN Dining is closely monitoring the outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking the necessary precautions to keep students and staff safe and healthy. The virus is being tracked by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Locally, we are working with health officials from Los Angeles County to ensure we are aware of changing conditions.

As we monitor the virus, it is important to educate our customers, students, faculty, and staff about best practices to stay healthy. We are placing a high priority on the health and safety of the entire university community. CSUN Dining recognizes that proper nutrition is crucial for optimal health and well-being. Eating a balanced diet is a big part of preventing the most common chronic diseases, as well as staying strong and healthy through the COVID-19 crisis. We want you to know that CSUN Dining is here to support you in this complex and difficult time.

Geronimo's and the Matador Mercado will remain open while there are students still in Student Housing. Those who decide to leave campus for the remainder of the year may cancel their meal plan and student housing without worrying about a cancellation fee. Cancellation requests must be submitted to both Student Housing and the Meal Plan Office as they are separate operations. The Meal Plan Office will not be able to process cancellations until a student has been released from housing. Please fill out the form linked below and select the option stating that you have moved off-campus/cancelled your student housing as the reason you are requesting to cancel your meal plan.

Off-campus students with meal plans can continue dining at Geronimo's if they would like. However, we understand and can accommodate the need to cancel their meal plan, as well. Off-campus students choosing to cancel their meal plan should select the option that states that they are not planning to return to campus for the remainder of the semester as their reason for cancellation.

Once this form has been submitted, the office will begin processing the cancellation immediately. Please note that once you submit your cancellation request, your card will no longer be active.
