Faculty Technology and Training

The CSUN community is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research and service, especially during these challenging times. Student success in the new learning environment depends on continuous improvement in virtual instruction, and as of Fall 2020 more than 50% of faculty have had training to support high quality virtual instruction.

Faculty Development Opportunities

CSUN offers an array of professional development opportunities in virtual technologies aimed at faculty with a range of experience. Offerings include Get Up To Speed with Online Teaching/GUTS, grounded in the inclusive and equity focused approaches to online and virtual pedagogy from Faculty Development, and Technology Bootcamps from the Faculty Technology Center.

To ensure access and convenience to professional development opportunities, we have created a website that describes the offerings and includes a guide designed to help faculty pick the best opportunities for themselves and their comfort level with the various distance learning tools. http://www.csun.edu/help4faculty
