Educational Opportunity Program (EOP)

Welcome to CSUN EOP

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at California State University, Northridge designs, administers, and supports programs that deliver access and retention services to CSUN students.

EOP provides services to historically low-income, historically educationally disadvantaged, first-generation college students; a population that not only reflects the diversity of CSUN’s feeder communities but also the diversity of the University itself.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Emeritus Professor, Johnie Scott. A beloved member of Africana Studies (Formally Pan African Studies), and the CSUN community, Professor Scott dedicated his life to fighting for civil rights and empowering his students. He was a passionate educator who worked tirelessly for over thirty years improving the lives of students and those around him. Professor Scott's work with EOP students and in the EOP Bridge program has left an indelible mark on the university and the many students whose lives he touched. His contributions to the fight for social justice, fair housing, healthcare, and educational equality will not be forgotten. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students who are mourning this profound loss. Professor Scott's legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
