Learning from home, you can still access numerous resources to supplement your education and help you in your coursework. The Learning Resource Center, Oviatt Library and Information Technology are just a few of the CSUN areas that have moved resources online to enhance your learning under virtual instruction. For students who are in need of reliable technology, CSUN expanded our device loaner program and are now distributing laptops, internet hotspots and webcams through the CSUN Campus Store (Bookstore).

The Device Loaner Program is available for currently enrolled CSUN students. The program provides technology to students who are without a device such as a computer or internet hotspot so that they may continue their education uninterrupted. These devices will be checked out at no cost to current students (student ID required) for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. The loaning of devices further supports our on-going physical distancing efforts, based upon evolving evidence and guidance, by decreasing the possibility of COVID-19 transmission in campus-based computer labs.

Devices that can be checked out: Windows Laptop, Webcam, Hotspot

Current students with a student ID can begin the request process by completing the Device Loaner Request Form. Log in to the myNorthridge portal. From the Services tab, go to the Student Services section. Select the Device Loaner Request Form link. Complete the form and submit your request. Devices can be picked up at the CSUN Campus Store (Bookstore), Monday through Friday, between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parking is available in the F2 parking lot, and the metered parking will be waived. Physical distancing of six-feet or more will be followed at all times.

If you do not have internet connectivity, request an internet hotspot by completing the Device Loaner Request Form noted above, or visit: resources for internet connectivity for users who do not have it. If you have any questions, please contact the IT Help Center.
