Web Presence

This workgroup serves as the liaison between the commission and the Advertising & Marketing Department. They will be responsible for establishing a vision for the commission’s web presence, and will be tasked with ensuring that the website is updated to reflect current initiatives and the most recent meeting minutes.

Asset Mapping

This workgroup will be responsible for reviewing departmental websites, and tracking each diversity initiative that is currently being employed on campus, within the scope of this commission. They will reach out to campus constituencies to learn of new efforts and practices that will benefit the campus community, keep records of which constituencies are being contacted, as well as the point person for each initiative. Additionally, they are responsible for communicating asset mapping information to the Web Presence workgroup, to ensure that the commission’s website remains relevant.

Campus Climate Survey

This workgroup will be responsible for scheduling, planning and attending townhall meetings on behalf of the commission, during which the results from the previous survey can be discussed and shared with the campus community. They will collaborate with campus constituencies to ensure that a bottom-up strategy is utilized to effectively communicate the results of the survey. Additionally, they will invite feedback, facilitate meaningful conversations, and shed light on areas that should be explored in the next survey.

Diversity Strategic Plan

This workgroup will be responsible for constructing the campus Diversity Strategic Plan, and facilitating conversations within and outside of the commission, with regard to project development, as needed. Additionally, they will establish a vision and develop procedures the campus community should adhere to in order to enhance equity and increase accessibility to resources on campus. They will work with the Web Presence workgroup, to ensure that the completed plan is posted on the commission’s website.
