College Portrait

In the interest of everyone's well-being and consistent with the goal of reducing opportunities for exposure to COVID-19, all in-person events and tours are cancelled until further notice. To learn more about the campus, you can take an online tour via the web or through the free CSUN app.

We will be offering webinars to help newly admitted students navigate the next steps in the enrollment process and updating this webpage as details become available, so check back frequently.

If you would like to speak to a preadmission counselor, you can schedule a 30- to 45-minute phone consultation by calling Student Outreach and Recruitment at (818) 677-2967, Monday-Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You can find more information about COVID-19 campus planning, preparedness and prevention at

Welcome to College Portrait. College Portrait provides a snapshot of CSUN. Founded in 1958, CSUN is a vibrant and global community located on 356-acres in the heart of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.

College Portrait covers topics from admissions and important deadlines to academics, athletics, costs of attendance, financial aid and scholarships, on-campus housing and jobs.

You’ll also find information about life as a Matador, and the many resources — academic, social and professional — available to our students. With more than 200 CSUN clubs and organizations as well as research opportunities, internships and jobs on- and off-campus to choose from, our students easily find their niche here in Northridge and acquire a solid foundation for the future.

Once you’ve familiarized yourself with our campus, feel free to check it out in person by going on a campus tour led by one of our University Ambassadors. To book a tour, contact Student Outreach and Recruitment
