UbiDuo 3 Communication Device for Deaf, HH, and Hearing

Description
The ease of use of the UbiDuo 3 for face to face communication between people who are deaf, hard of hearing, and late-deafened will be demonstrated. Hands on use of the UbiDuo 3 will be a part of the presentation. The need to have immediate simultaneous communication is primary for all. Providing communication 24/7/365 at any time and any place is necessary to meet the needs of both people with hearing loss and those with whom they interact who are hearing. Just as people who are hearing can have immediate conversations, people who are deaf have the same needs. The UbiDuo 3 makes that possible without waiting and scheduling. The 14 years of experience meeting these needs brings a history with real life stories of how communication changes and makes a difference. The UbiDuo 3 is used in the following settings: Education, Medical, Employment, Law Enforcement, Independent Living, School to Work Transition. Imagine the difference in communication being possible without scheduling or waiting. The UbiDuo 3 can be used any where because it does not require wifi or internet. Instant understanding is accomplished with simultaneous real time communication on the split screen of the UbiDuo 3. The UbiDuo 3 is used within families to communicate. It is used in social settings and with neighbors where immediate communication was not possible before. Because of the 100 foot distance between the two pieces of the UbiDuo 3, social distancing while communicating is possible. The UbiDuo 3 is the only communication device approved by Medicare for people who are deaf other than the cochlear implant. Light weight at 3.5 pounds, the UbiDuo 3 can be carried anywhere – opened – turned on – and an immediate conversation can take place. On an employee’s desk, all employees can communicate. In a medical setting, the patient can talk with the doctor at any time. Students can access all areas of the educational setting with a UbiDuo 3. Moving from school to work is made easy with a UbiDuo 3 when an interpreter is not available for the hours needed. Those in independent living settings can communicate with all those around them. People who are deaf often go from unemployment to employment using a UbiDuo 3. Relationships develop. Greater work flow takes place.
