Whether you are an experienced software professional or a student just learning how to code, it is important to know how to incorporate accessibility into your development process so that you can ensure your end product is accessible. By embedding good accessibility practices from the start in your development process, you can ensure a highly usable and accessible product to the one billion disabled people on this planet. Attendees will learn about the importance of shifting accessibility testing early in the development process, and topics such as how to use and integrate accessibility code linters and automated accessibility tools in your code, some common web accessibility bugs, how to use browser’s accessibility tree for finding and fixing bugs, and how to perform basic manual accessibility testing. The presenter will also share some major do’s and don’ts when it comes to accessibility. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how to ensure maximum accessibility of their software product.
