August 2021 - Conference Updates
IT IS ALMOST TIME…
We are excited the Call for Journal Papers and Pre-Conference Workshop Proposals open one week from today, on Thursday, August 19. Following that, the Call for General Presentations will open on Thursday, September 9. We look forward to receiving high-quality submissions and encourage a wide variety of topics.
THE TIME IS HERE
Sponsorship Opportunities have opened up for the 2022 Conference. Check out all of the new ways you can increase your presence and brand awareness. As a sponsor, you will join other industry leaders by supporting the community and the conference.
WE’VE MADE SOME CHANGES...
As mentioned in our last newsletter, we listened to your feedback and are trying to streamline things for presenters and attendees. First, instead of keywords and categories to identify presentations, there will be just a comprehensive list of topics. We hope this will help presenters better identify and describe their content, while improving the search function for attendees.
Also, we’ve created Presenter resources to provide useful information about the submission process, registration, and presenting. Presenters can find these details about policies, deadlines, presenter benefits, registration, and more on the website at Presenter Information and Presenter FAQ.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Center on Disabilities does not receive any funding from the State of California or the University. It is entirely through conference registrations, sponsorships and exhibitor fees that we are able to operate and host the Conference, which is why we ask presenters to pay a reduced conference registration. Presenters receive the same complete access to all conference activities and events as attendees. Their participation is highlighted at the conference and grants a level of prestige among their peers and colleagues in the community.
HEALTH & SAFETY UPDATE
As we plan to return in-person for the 2022 Conference, the health and safety of all of our attendees, vendors, staff and community are our top priority. For the latest update on the Conference’s policies, please refer to our Health & Safety statement.
