37th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference Has Concluded

July 2021 - CHANGE IS IN THE AIR

WE HEAR YOU AND WE ARE LISTENING

Since the 2021 CSUN Conference concluded, we have conducted surveys and focus groups with our stakeholders to help us improve the conference experience.  We appreciate the input and feedback we received and are starting to build on it to initiate changes and improvements.  We encourage you to help us continue to shape the future of the conference so we can continue to provide a valuable experience for all of our participants.

As we approach the Calls for Journal Papers and General Sessions Presentations, we would like your help.  We are updating the topics for the presentations’ content and want to hear what the community thinks we should consider adding or changing.  We have a quick (5 minute) survey that we hope you will complete so we can gather your input.  Please complete the survey before Saturday, July 24, 2021.

HERE’S WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON…

In the past, the conference has been unable to provide slides or handouts from presentations because we could not guarantee their accessibility and meet the standards required by the university and our constituents.  We are currently looking at ways that would make these documents available to all attendees.

DID YOU KNOW?

As a forum for the exchange of ideas and collaboration among stakeholders, the CSUN Conference has been a conduit for Research & Development to transform into products and practices.  Since 2013, the CSUN Center on Disabilities has included a Journal Track at the CSUN Conference to meet the interests of the scientific community.  The Journal Track is meant for those in the scientific and research community to present their work, and the proceedings of those presentations are published in the open-access Journal on Technology & Persons with Disabilities.  With over 100,000 downloads, the Journal is a global platform for authors to highlight their work.  The Journal on Technology & Persons with Disabilities is the exclusive conference publication of works presented at the CSUN Conference, and those interested in publishing should submit to the Journal Call for Papers.  We invite those in the scientific and research community to take advantage of the CSUN Conference Journal Track for presenting and publishing valuable work.
