Implement Accessible Wealth & Financial Services Documents

Date & Time
Thursday, March 17, 2022 - 10:20 AM PST
Location
Platinum 4 (CRAWFORD TECHNOLOGIES)
Description
The wealth and financial services industry produces critical client communications that are time-critical and personal & confidential. This industry is highly regulated. Regulations have pushed all wealth and financial companies to make their content accessible digitally and in traditional alternate formats. Content is a combination of systematically generated print output and digital disclosures and manually published content using office authoring tools. We’ll discuss strategies to make these documents accessible using automation and manual remediation techniques to provide clients with accessible content while also avoiding fines and lawsuits. Client communications in the wealth and financial space have unique requirements. These documents can be personal and confidential, carry time-sensitive information, and be produced at scale. These documents must also be accessible both at scale and for electronic delivery in very short turnarounds. As we move into the future, there is a movement away from paper formats to fully digital formats. Accessibility must be accounted for in these documents. Banks, wealth management organizations, and financial organizations are at the forefront of client services. As a service organization, communications either by physical or electronic statements, marketing, or client communications are critical to all their clients. Financial services organizations focus on life-long clients. Document accessibility is critical to communicate changes and personal and confidential information. Providing both accessible digital content and accommodation documents is a must.
