Most people expect that you can export an accessible document from MS Word without any issue. While this may be true for very simple documents, the reality is for most documents exporting a compliant PDF from MS Word requires extra work or "dumbing down" the content to pass accessibility compliance rules. This session reviews common limitations and shortcomings to exporting accessible documents from Microsoft Word. Then we will demonstrate the effect these issues have on people using assistive technology. We will review several solutions to fixing these issues inside Adobe Acrobat.
