“‘Breathin’” examines the incarceration, politicization, and activism of Eddy Zheng who, along with a multiracial group of inmates, struggled for Ethnic Studies courses at San Quentin.  Eddy currently works with current and former Asian American and Pacific Islander inmates through the Asian Prisoner Support Committee and is actively involved with issues of Asian American detention and deportation. Eddy will be at the screening along with social justice documentarian Ben Wang, the film’s director, who will host a Q&A session after the screening.
