Dr. Love and Abdelaziz will highlight components of the Abolitionist Teaching Network (ATN) and the ways in which it reinforces abolitionist teaching principles through its programming, grants, and educator resource development, and as a means to conceptualize abolitionist teaching across many different realms and settings. Remembering Quinten Thomas: The Fight for Justice Continues

Project Rebound, Community Alternatives to 911 and several other entities are presenting a series, "Collectively Understanding Carcerality and Learning Transformative Justice." The series will engage various issues of criminalization and incarceration. The first event, "Remembering Quinten Thomas: The Fight for Justice Continues" will feature Saharra White, who will speak on the struggle to seek some semblance of justice for Quinten Thomas, who was a CSUN student that died incarcerated at Twin Towers on March 9th, 2018. Saharra will be joined by other community activists organizing against racialized state violence.
