CTL - Opening doors and enlightening minds since 2002

The CSUN Center for Teaching and Learning is the research, collaboration, and professional development arm of the College of Education. Faculty from all of the various departments in the College of Education are conducting cutting edge research and professional development, in collaboration with K-12 teachers, administrators, and community members, to address the needs of schools. The CTL is proud to host the “Education on the Edge” speaker series annually, as well as offer free educational film screenings. We have a Speakers Bureau and provide professional development to the community, while also hosting the biennial What Really Works conference. Doctoral Dissertation Showcase: Where Research and Practice Meet

Join us on October 22 for the Doctoral Dissertation Showcase! The purpose of the showcase is to provide research information to the PK-16 professional community as well as broaden doctoral students’ horizons of research and dissertation, support them in starting and finishing their research, disseminate scholarly work, promote research culture, support institutional efforts to advance equity and social justice, and model academic paper presentations. Education on the Edge - Translucent

This semester, the CTL hosted its Education on the Edge event virtually on May 10th, allowing a more national audience to participate. The CTL had the honor of sharing the award-winning work of a recent CSUN alumnus, Avery Fox. Read more
