The Center for Southern California Studies in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences presents: The 2015 Envisioning California Lecture: “Los Angeles as a Model of Urban Resilience"

Featuring…

Fran Pavley, California State Senator, 27th District, Dr. Alex Hall, Professor of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, UCLA, Matt Petersen, Chief Sustainability Officer, City of Los Angeles, Nancy Steele, Executive Director, Council for Watershed Health in a panel discussion led by Patt Morrison, LA Times Columnist and KPCC Radio Host

A resilient city is one that prepares to address shocks, such as natural disasters and the impacts of climate change, by addressing the ongoing physical, social, and economic challenges that can make it difficult to respond to disruptions.  Join us for a conversation about Los Angeles’s ability to respond to adverse events in a panel discussion led by Patt Morrison.

Please RSVP at Everbrite or call 818-677-7169.

Parking is $6 per car at Information Booth #3 at Prairie Street and Zelzah Avenue.

Communication services (sign language interpreters, note takers, real-time captionists, or assistive listening devices) are available for this event. Requests for services must be submitted at least five (5) working days in advance.
