Sigma Nu Tau Honor Society
The Sigma Nu Tau Founders Scholarship, initiated in 2017, supports outstanding students who exemplify academic excellence and a commitment to entrepreneurship. Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate principled entrepreneurship, active involvement in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and a dedication to both campus and community service.
CSUN was initially chartered as a Sigma Nu Tau Honor Society Chapter in May 2024.
4 entrepreneurship minor students were inducted into the honor society in May 2025, along with two faculty members.

Other than being part of an exclusive group of scholars, being in an honor society has many benefits:
- To be recognized for academic excellence
- To build your credentials for applying to graduate school as well as for prospective job opportunities
- To build your character through the various honor society projects and community service activities
- To have opportunities to gain leadership experiences as a chapter officer or committee chair
- To be eligible and have greater credibility when applying for awards and scholarships
- To have opportunities to network with and learn from successful entrepreneurs
When you join an honor society, it’s more than being invited into a club. It’s a life-changing opportunity to make new friends by getting involved. It’s a chance to build leadership skills and your character, as well as enhance your experiences. When you think of all the opportunities that honor societies can offer to you, the real question is, why not join an honor society?
- Must possess honor, integrity, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Must be taking a bachelor’s program with a major, minor, or other program of study that substantively includes the major knowledge areas, skills, and competencies required of an entrepreneur.
- For Undergraduate Students:
- Must have earned at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
- Must have junior class standing or higher.
- Life-long membership
- Lifetime recognition for outstanding performance in an extremely challenging field.
