Jeff Marine Bull Ring Competition

Shark Tank Meets Matadors!

As the flagship new venture competition at CSUN, the Jeff Marine Bull Ring New Venture Competition serves as a launchpad for new business ideas from CSUN students across campus. Occurring each Spring semester, the competition provides direct mentoring as well as workshops covering the fundamentals of launching and growing a new venture. Two rounds of competition culminate in the “Shark Tank” style final event, where 5 finalist student teams compete for generous prize money and in-kind sponsorships.

The 2026 event concluded on Thursday, April 23th. It was an action-packed 2-hour event, with four “shark” judges, keynote speaker, and of course 5 impressive finalist student teams from across campus competing for over $20,000 in prizes.

Please see below for additional information on the competition.
