Introduction to Career Exploration and Career Center Resources

Number of class sessions: 1 

Format: Online, Virtual through Zoom. Includes a pre-visit assignment which will be emailed to you with your confirmation. 

Length: 50 minutes; Presented by Career Counselor or Peer Educator

Through virtual and reflective activities, students will develop a better understanding of professional branding and social media, with an emphasis on LinkedIn.  LinkedIn is the world's largest professional network on the internet. In this session, students will learn how to create a strong online profile, learn networking strategies, with an overview of how to identify volunteer/community service, work experience, leadership/mentoring, and networking opportunities related to their major/career field (SLOs 3, 4, & 5).
