Orientation to the Career Center
Find Jobs and Internships
SUNlink offers access to our job board and online career services. In SUNlink, you can find and apply for jobs and internships, sign-up for Career Center events and workshops, upload your resume, practice interviewing or schedule an on-campus interview. All on-campus federal work-study jobs and most student assistant positions are posted in SUNlink. More than 500 CSUN alumni are available through the Matador Network to mentor you on your educational and career goals.
If you are new to SUNlink, you will need to register and complete a profile. Your profile information is important because employers often use that information in searching for candidates who meet certain job qualifications. When registering for the first time, you need to contact the Career Center for the initial password and instructions. We recommend you use your CSUN portal email address as your user name.
Fradulent Job Offers
It has come to our attention that CSUN students are receiving fraudulent job offers from people posing as reputable employers. The CSUN Career Center has not given your information to these employers.
If an employer requests you to deposit a check into your bank account, please do not deposit the check.
If the check was mailed through the US Postal Service, report it to the local police department as this is considered mail fraud.
Please use your own discretion when applying for any jobs online and if you are questioning the validity of a job offer please feel free to contact the CSUN Career Center.
The mission statement of the peer educator program is, "By building meaningful peer-to-peer interactions, we help students on their journey from academic to a professional career."
When you visit the Career Center, you will most likely meet a peer educator. The peer educators are here to help you get started. Our current peer educators are students like you, who are familiar with the career development process and can speak to you about Career Center resources, resume and cover letter development, and job search strategies.
They can also just listen as you begin sorting out what your next steps should be. You may also see the career peer educators on campus as they share the resources of the Career Center.
Check out our video for more information on our peer educators. You can contact the peer educators by either stopping by the Career Center located in Bayramian Hall 413, emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (818) 677-2878.

Hello everyone! My name is Erica, and I am a senior. I have a major in Psychology with a minor in HR Management. After I graduate, I plan on attending a master’s program that focuses on Applied Behavior Analysis. My ultimate goal is to become a BCBA-D, which requires me to receive my Ph.D. This is my first year as a Peer Educator, and I am excited to assist students in discovering their career-related interests. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and this is another chapter of my life where I get to do that. With that being said, I look forward to being a part of your professional development journey.

Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa, and I am a third-year student pursuing a major in sociology and a minor in anthropology. After finishing my Bachelors of Arts, I hope to continue my education here at CSUN by pursuing a Masters in Social Work and ultimately a Ph. D. This is my first year as a Peer Educator, and I am thrilled to be able to help students through their journey at CSUN. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where everyone is encouraged to ask for help. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my siblings, going out to eat with friends, and volunteering at local shelters. I hope to see you stop by the career center and check out the helpful resources we provide!
Hi Matadors! My name is Kira and I am a junior majoring in Public Health here at CSUN. This is my third year working at the Career Center and my first year as a Career Peer Educator. After I finish my bachelor’s degree, my goal is to get accepted to and complete an MPH/MSW dual degree master’s program. My time at the Career Center has helped me develop my passion for healthcare into a passion for helping others, by learning about all the different ways people can help each other day to day and in their careers. I’m looking forward to helping my fellow Matadors develop their passions and learn more about what opportunities are out there for them.
