Presentation Requests

Career Center Presentation Request Forms

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the Career Center!

If you would like a member of the Career Center to work with your class, department, or student group on a career-related lesson, please complete the appropriate form below.

All requests need to be submitted at least 6 weeks for Faculty/Staff and at least 4 weeks for student clubs and organizations prior to the proposed date of presentation. We will contact you to confirm the request.

Your request is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation with a presenter’s name. However, if you have not received a reply within 2 weeks of your request, please feel free to follow-up with us.

Note for Faculty - Requests for group interpretations of career-related assessments (MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, or StrengthsQuest) should be submitted at least one month prior to proposed presentation date. 

 

**We reserve the option to cancel any session when the instructor or supervisor is not able to be present, particularly if that presence is integral to the lesson plan.

Faculty / Staff (Non-UNIV 100)

If you are a faculty or staff member (non-UNIV 100) interested in working with the Career Center on a presentation for your class or department, please select this option.

UNIV 100 Faculty

Location of Presentation: BH 410 (Career Center Classroom)

 Choose 1 option maximum per semester.

 *Access to Canvas online Orientation to Career will be emailed to instructor at least 2 weeks prior to presentation.

Option 1

Orientation to the Career Center: 45 minutes. Facilitated by the Career Peer Educators. A career education session which will include a tour of the center, overview of resources, and a career interest activity. (Canvas Orientation to be completed prior to visit)

Option 2

Choosing majors and careers: 1 hour 15 minutes. Facilitated by Career Counselors. Faculty can and should tailor their session.  (includes values and interest clarification, and decision making practice) (Canvas Orientation to be completed prior to visit) 

Option 3

Strengths-based Learning: 1 hour 15 minutes. Facilitated by Career Counselors. Faculty can and should tailor their session.  (includes Clifton Strengths inventory; Canvas Orientation and Strengths assessment to be completed prior to visit)

Option 4

Personal Traits and Workplace Preferences: 1 hour 15 minutes.  Facilitated by Career Counselors. Faculty can and should tailor their session.  (includes learning and decision-making styles and preference inventory; Canvas Orientation to be completed prior to visit)*  

 If you are interested in facilitating a Strengths lesson for your students on your own, we can provide you with resources and even some educator resources for facilitation ides and strategies. Contact

Student Club or Organization

If you are a member of a student group, or a representative from a student organization, interested in working with the Career Center on a presentation for your group, please select this option.
