Career Center Presentation Request Forms

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with the Career Center!

If you would like a member of the Career Center to work with your class, department, or student group on a career-related lesson, please complete the appropriate form below.

All requests need to be submitted at least 6 weeks for Faculty/Staff and at least 4 weeks for student clubs and organizations prior to the proposed date of presentation. We will contact you to confirm the request.

Your request is not guaranteed until you receive a confirmation with a presenter’s name. However, if you have not received a reply within 2 weeks of your request, please feel free to follow-up with us.

Note for Faculty - Requests for group interpretations of career-related assessments (MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, or StrengthsQuest) should be submitted at least one month prior to proposed presentation date.

**We reserve the option to cancel any session when the instructor or supervisor is not able to be present, particularly if that presence is integral to the lesson plan.

Strengths-based Career Planning

(Virtual through Zoom or In-person)

Length: Virtual (60 minutes); In-person (75 minutes)

*Please note: This option is contingent upon our campus funding sources. Therefore, in the case that we do not receive funding to cover the costs of CliftonStrengths codes this year, you may need to select an alternative topic.

Facilitated by a career counselor.

Through individual and group reflective activities, students will be able to identify their academic and career strengths and then get to practice leveraging their strengths. New this year, this session will intentionally tie together concepts of strengths and resilience by providing opportunities for students to problem-solve around life and career decisions.  To prepare for their session, students should complete the Canvas Strengths Prep Course prior to the session.  Link to course will be provided.

*If you have specific requests, or a topic you want to emphasize (i.e. linking to another assignment your students are working on, including CareerLink, or helping students write a resume), just ask.

Want to add a Strengths Lesson? If you are interested in facilitating a Strengths lesson for your students on your own, we can provide you with a Strengths-based Career Planning Online Course.
