This is a chance for you to meet with industry professionals, discover internship opportunities, learn the tools to begin your internship journey to success on the job, navigate virtual job fairs, get your resume critiqued, and prepare for ResuMakeover.

This workshop explores everything you need to know about internships. Here, we will go over everything you need to know, from the planning process to getting hired! Learn essential tips about platforms to look for internships, the requirements of an internship, the application process, your timeframe for applying, and more!

Mattel Internship Programs

Mattel’s interns are involved in impactful projects across the entire organization, including everything from blue sky portfolio expansions and analyzing play patterns in our Play Lab to capitalizing on the hottest toy trends. Some interns work on iconic events like Comic Con or movie premiers like Jurassic World. Others might help the product development and engineering teams advance our digital innovation, or the design and marketing teams create culturally relevant purpose-driven dolls. Whether you’re getting into design, supply chain, finance, sales, marketing, engineering, technology, or HR, we’re always looking for innovative perspectives from future leaders.

Cope Health Scholars:

The COPE Health Scholars program is an experiential workforce development program that prepares students for a career in health care. Our program allows students to gain hands-on experience in clinical and administrative hospital settings through various departments (Emergency Department, Intense Care Unit, Cardiac Catheter Lab, Labor, and Deliver).

Hispanic National Internship Program:

Learn more about the Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU.) Paid internship opportunities are available! Open to Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students of all ethnic backgrounds and all majors! This is a great chance to intern with outstanding companies and organizations nationwide! Come to the workshop, where you will learn about these opportunities.

Create a LinkedIn Profile & Link to Recruiters:

LinkedIn can be a powerful tool for recruiters to find the talent they need. If your profile is not optimized properly, you may be missing out on opportunities to be recruited. In this workshop, you'll gain insights into how recruiters use online tools and how you can create a professional profile that helps you get noticed. You will learn how to develop and optimize your profile! Finally, you will learn how to connect with recruiters.

Parker Dewey has partnered with the Career Center to provide Micro-Internships, and short-term paid professional projects. These positions are available to students and recent graduates. This is an opportunity for you to work with employers from various industries and disciplines, build your skills and portfolio, schedule work that fits your schedule, explore multiple roles, and get paid. Learn more about the Los Angeles County Academic Internship program. There are nearly 100 internship opportunities available for students! This is your chance to explore a career in government! Come to the workshop, where you will learn more about these opportunities.

NASA ARCS Internship Program:

CSUN's Autonomy Research Center for STEAHM (ARCS) is a NASA-sponsored, chartered Center of Excellence. The program offers paid internships with NASA to a broad range of majors. Computer Science, Engineering, Arts, Humanities, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, and More. Come to this event and learn about all the opportunities they offer.
