Join us for internship week! 

This is a chance for you to meet with industry professionals, discover internship opportunities, learn the tools to begin your internship journey to success on the job, navigate virtual job fairs, get your resume critiqued, and prepare for ResuMakeover on October 12, 2023.


Monday, October 9

11 AM- Internship Week: Handshake A-Z

Handshake is a platform that connects students with internships, jobs, and career opportunities. Learn how to navigate Handshake and how to make your profile stand out!

12:30 PM- Internship Week: Internship Roadmap from Start to Finish

This workshop explores everything you need to know about internships. Here, we will review everything you need to know, from the planning process to getting hired! Learn important tips about platforms to look for internships, the requirements of an internship, the application process, your timeframe for applying, and more!

2 PM- Internship Week: Lockheed Martin Internship Program

Lockheed Martin's internship program offers a wide variety of opportunities across multiple business areas, including engineering, finance, supply chain, marketing, and more. As an intern at Lockheed Martin, you will have the opportunity to work on real projects alongside experienced professionals, allowing you to gain valuable hands-on experience and develop your skills.

4 PM- Internship Week: Vanguard Internship Program

Vanguard offers summer internships in the following areas: Application Development, Technology Operations, Investment Management, Advice, Finance and Accounting, as well as Business Leadership. Vanguard’s College to Corporate Internship Program is an immersive, hands-on experience at one of the world’s leading investment firms. Extensive training, real-world experience, hands-on opportunities, and mentorship from professionals.

11 AM- Internship Week: Career Fair Prep

Learn to ease your nerves at a job fair! The CSUN Career Center will help prepare you to participate in the Fall Career Fair.

12:30 PM- Internship Week: Micro-Internships with CSUN/Parker Dewey Fall 23

Parker Dewey has partnered with the Career Center to provide Micro-Internships for short-term, paid, professional projects. These positions are available to students and recent graduates. This is an opportunity for you to work with employers from a variety of industries and disciplines, build your skills and portfolio, schedule work that fits your schedule, explore various roles, and get paid. Learn more about these unique opportunities and more by joining our workshop!

2 PM- Internship Week: Los Angeles County Internship Program

Learn more about the Los Angeles County Academic Internship program. There are nearly 100 internship opportunities available for students! This is your chance to explore a career in government! Come to the workshop, where you will learn more about these opportunities.

4 PM- Internship Week: Enterprise Holdings Internship Program

Looking for a fast track to a successful and rewarding career? Allow us to introduce you to our internships. These are “just the thing” for those of you who want to hit the ground running and experience real-world opportunities that build valuable business and leadership skills. It’s a chance to learn from experts and get insight into how we run a successful business.

12:30 PM- Internship Week: Sherwin-Williams Internship Program

4 PM- NASA ARCS Internship Program

CSUN's Autonomy Research Center for STEAHM (ARCS) is a NASA-sponsored, chartered, Center of Excellence. The program offers paid internships with NASA to a broad range of majors. Computer Science, Engineering, Arts, Humanities, Psychology, Sociology, Communications and More. Come to this event and learn about all the opportunities they have to offer.

Thursday, October 12

12:30 PM- Learn to Create an Impactful LinkedIn Profile and Connect with Recruiters

Learn from an expert at LinkedIn! LinkedIn can be a powerful tool for recruiters to find the talent they need. You may be missing out on opportunities to be recruited if your profile is not at its best. In this workshop, you’ll gain insights into how recruiters use online tools and how you can create a professional profile that helps you get noticed. You will also learn how to develop and optimize your profile!
