This is a panel presentation. Participants include Melina Abdullah from Black Lives Matter LA, Harold Welton from the Black Panther Party and a representative of CSUN’s Black Student Union. Dr. Cedric Hackett from Africana Studies will be the moderator. The panel will be discussing political activism in Los Angeles, comparing and contrasting tactics used by BLMLA and the Panthers. Our BSU representative will speak to the experiences of college students in the current environment.
