Disaster Ready - Emergency Kit Essentials

Emergency Kit

This workshop will give participants an opportunity to focus on assembling personal emergency kits (including family, cars, office, and travel kits).  Participants will learn best practices, essential content, maintenance plans, and how to build a kit on any budget.  Sample kits will be on display for participants to get ideas and start customizing a list for immediate kit building. Hailed as having, “a gorgeous sound” by conductor Benjamin Zander, saxophonist Benjamin Sorrell has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and with orchestras throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Other honors including winning the New England Conservatory (NEC) Concerto Competition performing Ingolf Dahl’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Orchestra, winning the NEC Honors competition and a solo performance in Jordan Hall, Boston, MA with his saxophone quartet, and being invited to perform William Bolcom’s Concerto Grosso with the University of Southern California Wind Ensemble.
