The ground starts shaking – it’s an earthquake! What do you do? The Seventh Annual California ShakeOut drill will take place this Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 10:16 am. The campus community will be asked to Drop, Cover and Hold On by an announcement via the CSUN Office Phone Messaging System. Participation in the exercise will take approximately 3 – 5 minutes on Thursday morning.
The Geology Department will also be hosting the Fourth Annual ShakeOut Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m at the northeast corner of the Sierra Quad. The Festival will include displays, interactive preparedness games, videos, and demonstrations. They will also have a variety of informative pamphlets and flyers to hand out.
