CSUN’S African Studies Interdisciplinary Minor Program (ASIMP) invites you to the 4th Annual Spring African Studies Symposium, “Building Health for Life in Africa.” Featured Keynote Speakers are Margaret Hercules, Field Officer and Team Member, Ebola Vaccine Testing Project, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and Dr. Olamide Jarrett, Professor & Medical Researcher, Infectious Disease Control in Africa, University of Illinois at Chicago. Other highlights include Panels on: Big Data and Health Issues in Africa (Math Dept., CSUN); Researching Health Challenges in Kenya and Nigeria (Health Sciences, CSUN); and Containing/Eradicating Infectious and Reproductive Diseases in Africa.
