Meet Your Mentors

Lewis DVorkin

Throughout my journey (nearly as much time in traditional media as digital media), I peered through the nostalgic fog of what was, urging my colleagues to do the same. Journalism. Earned Media. Owned Media. Paid Media. Each continues to evolve. At times, the lines get blurred. The goal is to stay on the right side of that "moving line," to borrow from a memorable scene in Broadcast News.

How do I do that? As I cross one virtual bridge after another, I work to meld my traditional media values and standards with the dynamics of digital life.

I turned to the entrepreneurial life a decade ago and started a company. I sold it to Forbes, becoming an intrepreneur spearheading transformation of a 100-year-old storied brand with bold new content and advertising models.

At Newsroom AI and CSUN, the fun of innovation, reinvention and learning starts all over again.
