About Fred Nigro

Fred Nigro graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1974 with a degree in accounting. Prior to college, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy, fourteen months of which were spent in the Republic of Vietnam where he served with the Inshore Undersea Warfare Group, and was trained by the U.S. Special Forces at the MACV Recondo School. During his tour of duty he was highly decorated with both the Bronze Star for bravery and the Purple Heart for being wounded in action.

In 1981 Fred, along with partners Michael Karlin and Mickey Segal, founded the CPA firm of Nigro, Karlin & Segal, and the business management firm of NKS Management Inc, one of the leading business management firms in the U.S.

Throughout the years, Fred continued to build his business management reputation by representing a growing clientele comprised of the highest paid and most successful actors, celebrity personalities and executives in the entertainment industry, whose motion pictures, television properties, and other related projects have generated billions of dollars in gross revenues.

Fred was instrumental in creating, guiding and building the financial empires of many icons of the entertainment industry.

At the firm, which later become Nigro Karlin Segal Feldstein and Bolno, Fred continued to provide wealth, career and life management services to many of the most successful and powerful people in entertainment today for almost 40 years.

Fred has since retired in 2015 and remains a Certified Public Accountant but with a retired status.

Fred continues to give back to his alma mater through the Fred and Sharon Nigro Scholarship Endowment, to provide support to Nazarian College students. Fred is also an advisory board member of the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics' and serves on the alumni relations and student professional development committees. Furthermore, his firm employs 30 CSUN alumni. Additionally, Fred has participated in the Nazarian College's annual Professor for a Day event where classes are taught by alumni and others in the business community over the course of two days.
