Research Enrichment Core Committee

The Research Enrichment Core Committee was formed to support faculty initiatives that enhance student research on campus and at our Pipeline Partner (community college) institutions. The committee is comprised of the Program Director of the Research Enrichment Core, Carrie Saetermoe, BUILD PODER Administrative Assistant, Mirranda Salas, two CSUN faculty mentors, two CSUN students, and two Pipeline Partner faculty members. This decision-making body for the RE Core will aid in: (a) student recruitment and selection, (b) student and faculty grievances, (c) recommending and involving speakers, mock study sections, writing circles, etc., (d) evaluation of applications for curriculum changes, Faculty Scholar Academies and other programs, (e) facilitation of faculty exchanges, (f) facilitating student and faculty interactions, and (g) cultivation of links between PP/CSUN faculty and RP faculty and development of relationships through speaker and workshops series, Faculty Scholar Academies and other BUILD PODER activities.
