2019 Eligibility Requirements

CSUN STUDENTS
  • Current CSUN students or incoming CSUN transfer students
  • Have a cumulative & major GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Maintain undergraduate full-time student status (12 units)
  • Must complete undergraduate degree by Spring 2022 with all major & BP required courses
  • Be a US citizen, national, permanent resident OR DACA/AB540 
  • Committed to pursue graduate program for a research career in the biomedical field after completion of bachelor’s degree
  • Be available for applicant interviews (mid-March 2020)
  • Be available for Summer Jumpstart 2020: July 13-August 7 (8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday)

COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS
  • Enrolled in one of our Pipeline Partner Institutions: East Los Angeles College (ELAC), Pasadena City College (PCC) or Los Angeles Valley College (Biological sciences majors only for LAVC)
  • Have a cumulative & major GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Maintain full-time student status (12 units)
  • Be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident
  • Be transfer-ready by Spring 2021
  • Committed to pursue graduate program for a research career in the biomedical field after completion of bachelor’s degree
  • Be available for applicant interviews (mid-March 2020)
  • Be available for Summer Jumpstart 2019: July 13-August 7 (8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday)
