Meeting financial goals can be very challenging and is often a missing piece to many individuals’ and families’ financial success. With individualized support, low-to-moderate income individuals are more likely to adopt the skills to manage their finances and meet their self-defined goals. We do it by helping you develop SMART goals, analyze your finances, and take control of your life.

People from all walks of life come to us with challenges impacting their financial wellbeing, such as:

  • Lack of budgeting skills
  • Inability to save
  • Overwhelming debt
  • Poor credit history
  • Major life changes
  • Loss of job or reduction in income
  • A desire to find a better way to pay for college and reduce future debt
  • And many more!

Do I qualify?

If you qualify for our CSUN VITA Clinic, then you qualify to receive financial coaching from one of our certified financial coaches. Below is a link to check if you qualify:

 

 

Who will I be meeting with?

A certified financial coach will be meeting you virtually either through HIPPA Zoom or via telephone. Due to COVID-19, we are moving to a virtual platform and access to Zoom will be needed. To download to Zoom app on your phone, click on the following link: Download Zoom

You will receive an email and a phone call from a Financial Coach. Once you begin your session, you will begin discussing any financial struggles you have been facing.

If you prepared your taxes with VITA and answered "Yes" when asked "Would you be interested in attending one-on-one Financial Coaching?", then you will receive an email or a phone call from a Financial Coach to get you set up with an appointment. If they have not called you yet, please click on the link above.
