Celebrating its 49th year, the CSUN VITA Clinic once again broke records. Powered by a record 514 volunteers, the CSUN VITA Clinic provided free tax preparation to over 8,700 low-income taxpayers in Los Angeles County. In all, we have helped taxpayers claim more than $10 million in tax refunds and $4.8 million in tax credits, and saved them over $1.8 million in tax preparation fees. Read the 2019 Annual Report

Celebrating its 48th year, the CSUN VITA Clinic has once again broken records. Powered by 450 volunteers, the CSUN VITA Clinic has offered free tax preparation to over 7,500 low-income taxpayers in Los Angeles County. I am pleased to report on another transformative year for the CSUN VITA Clinic. As you may recall, last year the clinic experienced an exponential growth, serving more than 3,600 taxpayers -- almost a tenfold increase from the previous year. Powered with almost 350 student volunteers, this year the CSUN VITA Clinic provided free tax preparation services to over 6,000 low-income taxpayers in our community. For the second year in a row, CSUN’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Clinic broke a record in its transformative growth trajectory. VITA Clinic student volunteers served a record 6,012 low-income taxpayers for the tax season that just concluded on April 18, far exceeding its goal of serving 4,000 households.
