Welcome to The Bookstein Low Income Taxpayer Clinic

The mission of the Bookstein Low Income Taxpayer  Clinic (LITC) is to provide free representation to low income taxpayers facing tax disputes with the IRS.  The Clinic operates year round and is powered by undergraduate accounting and graduate tax students who are trained to provide assistance to low income taxpayers. Under the supervision of an experienced tax faculty, students are assigned to represent low income taxpayers who are facing a dispute with the Internal Revenue Service.  The services are offered free of charge to qualifying taxpayers. If you are facing a dispute with the IRS, and need assistance, please contact our office for more information at (818) 677-3600.

Although the Bookstein Tax Clinic receives funding from the IRS, the clinic, its employees, and volunteers are not affiliated with the IRS. A taxpayer’s decision to utilize services from the Bookstein Tax Clinic will not affect the taxpayer’s rights before the IRS. The Bookstein Tax Clinic does not generally provide tax return preparation services.
The Bookstein Tax Clinic does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, or age in admission, treatment, or participation in its programs, services and activities, or in employment. For further information about this policy, contact Sherry Manavi at (818) 677-3600.
