The goals and objectives behind the Housing Instability Project consists of,
- Identify and understand housing instability among CSUN students
- Identify available resources to prevent housing instability and promote housing stability among CSUN students
- Promote CSUN student awareness of and access to local resources that prevent, reduce or eliminate housing instability
- Provide referral and linkage, to prevent, reduce or eliminate housing instability
Local organizations that offer hot meals and food pantry options. Incudes multiple pantry distribution dates and times. Also includes information for accessing CSUN's Food Pantry and assistance for long-term services through CalFresh.
Includes resources for access to emergency and long-term housing including CSUN Campus Housing Assistance. Additional information includes primary access points for extensive housing assistance.
Resources listed offer services that are bilingual, free of charge and available on a drop-in basis. Clients are placed on a shower list or can drop-in at these different locations for free showers.
List of programs in the San Fernando Valley that provide free or reduced cost clothing and household goods to those in need. The list of resources also contains locations of learning centers, child care, and access to free groceries.
