Earth Month

Earth Month is a collaborative effort between Associated Students, the Institute for Sustainability, and other campus departments and organizations. In 1970, the first Earth Day mobilized 20 million Americans to call for increased protection of the planet. Institutions adopted the celebration of Earth Day by encouraging individuals and planning events and rallies on the days leading to Earth Day (April 22) to take a stand for environmental justice, sustainable action, and climate solutions. This is how Earth Day grew into a month-long campaign.

Our Goal is to bring the CSUN community a month full of programs that range from experiential education to entertainment. We hope these programs expand your knowledge on sustainability and the Earth and allow you to enjoy, celebrate, appreciate and take action for our planet. Find a link to the full schedule of all Earth related events happening at CSUN in April and links to the participating departments’ pages. There will also be giveaways during this month so check out the “Win Free stuff” page for details!
