The CSUN Cheer team is one of the most recognizable groups on campus. If your department would like us to attend an event, please email us 2 weeks in advance. We will respond within three business days to let you know if we are available.
Our goals are to compete at the national level, promote school spirit, and encourage others to succeed and strive for excellence in the classroom, on cheer mats and in their futures. The club attends National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Sport Clubs and other university-related events by request.

UPDATED 2020 INFORMATION
*Fall 2020 will be fully online*
These times have been very strange and we understand how all of the uncertainty can be challenging. At this time we are working on setting up tryouts to make it simple for everyone to be evaluated from the comfort of their own home while staying safe and still giving everyone a fair opportunity to showcase their skills. We are working closely with the University to be able to best transition to our Fall semester being online. We don't have the final word on how we will be functioning in the Fall semester yet but we are prepared, ready, and willing to work with anything that comes our way.
For the time being, we will tell you a little bit about our program and what it means to be a CSUN Cheerleader. Our program began in 2010 and has seen many talented individuals come through our team throughout these past ten years. CSUN Cheerleading is a Division I Small Co-ed team that works closely with the University to promote school spirit and cheer on our amazing Men and Women's Basketball teams. Our Coach, John Cronin is a five (5)X World Champion All-Star Cheer Tumbling Coach and participant who owns a tumbling gym in Chatsworth, CA, and will be going on his second year with us here at CSUN. We attend many different events around the University to support local businesses, schools, and Dignity Health Hospital in Northridge. Every summer we attend NCA Camp to further improve our skills and get a chance to learn from some of the best staffers in the nation. We focus on all group stunting, coed stunting, performing at games, tumbling and competitions. Our philosophy is all about teaching and moving forward together. Our cheerleading family cannot wait to welcome you all in and get this season started. Check out our social media for more information. Go Matadors!
