Oct 28, 2009 Spring 2010 Registration Access Mailer sent to new, eligible students. Continuing students, see Semester Bulletin.
November 2 Academic Advisement/First-Time Freshman Registration begins.
November 9 - December 9 Registration-by-Appointment. (Repeating courses is not permitted.)
November 11 Holiday; all offices closed; no instruction (Veterans’ Day Observed).
November 25 Student Services Center closes at 5:00 p.m. (eve of Thanksgiving recess).
November 26 - 27 Thanksgiving Recess; all offices closed; no instruction; no Saturday class on 11/29 (Thanksgiving Day-Thursday, November 26; Admission Day Observed-Friday, November 27).
December 10, 2009-January 18, 2010 Nonrestrictive Registration (no appointment needed; repeating courses is not permitted)
December 24, 2009-January 1, 2010 Winter Recess; all offices closed; no instruction. (State Budget Furlough Day-Thursday, Dec. 24; Christmas Day-Friday, Dec. 25, 2009; Lincoln’s Birthday Observed-Monday, Dec. 28; Washington’s Birthday Observed-Tuesday, Dec. 29; Columbus Day Observed-Wednesday, Dec. 30; no holiday observance-Thursday, Dec. 31; New Year’s Day-Friday, Jan. 1, 2010)
January 1, 2010 2009-2010 Federal and California Financial Aid Application period begins. Priority consideration given to those who file FAFSA by March 2, 2009.
January 4 State Budget Furlough Day: All offices closed except for The Tseng College.

Winter Term begins: Classes in session. Important notice regarding Winter Term 2010.
January 10 First spring Financial Aid payments start this week (weekly thereafter).
January 11 State Budget Furlough Day: All offices closed. Winter Term classes in session.
January 18 Holiday; all offices closed; no instruction.

Last day to DROP all classes and qualify for a full refund (minus $10)
January 19 Weekday classes begin.
January 19-February 5 Late Registration (by permission only) and Schedule Adjustment (Weeks 1-3). Repeating courses is permitted. Late Registration fee: $25.00.
January 23 Saturday classes begin.
February 5 Last day to Register Late, Add classes using permission numbers, Drop a class, or Change Basis of Grading (end of Week 3).

Last day to qualify for a partial refund due to a drop in unit load below 6.1.
March 1 Deadline for Financial Aid application priority consideration.
March 5 Last day to confirm awarding of baccalaureate degree for students who completed graduation requirements for Fall 2009.

Deadline to apply for Spring 2010 or Summer 2010 graduation in order to participate in Commencement.

Deadline to apply for Fall 2010 undergraduate graduation.
March 10 & 11 Grad Fest in preparation for 2010 Commencement
March 26 Last day to qualify for a prorated refund (60% point). Students who remain enrolled after this date may not need to repay financial aid.
March 31 Holiday; all offices closed; no instruction (Cesar Chavez Day)
April 1 New! Deadline for previously disqualified undergraduate and second bachelor students to submit the Previously Disqualified Questionnaire for Fall 2010 admission.
April 2 Application filing period begins for Spring 2011 and Summer 2011 graduation for undergraduates.
April 5-10 Spring Recess; no instruction. Offices open Monday, April 5 only. All offices closed Tuesday through Friday, April 6-9.
May 7 Last day of formal instruction, except for Saturday classes meeting once weekly.

Deadline to submit thesis or graduate projects for Spring 2010.
May 8 Last day of formal instruction for Saturday classes meeting once weekly.
May 10-15 Final Examinations Week. Learn how to View Final Exam Schedule. Grades are posted online approximately one week after finals.

August 2 Fall 2010 parking permits can be purchased in person starting today.
August 13 Fall 2010 Financial Aid balance checks are mailed starting August 13 and weekly thereafter.
August 19 Eligible students may repeat courses beginning today. See Repeat Policy.
