The Minority Engineering Program (MEP) Alumni Chapter is dedicated to the establishment of mission-aligned initiatives that strengthen California State University, Northridge's existing ecosystem and visibility. The advancement of student success, intellectual growth and career readiness. Uplifting underrepresented and first generation STEM students through mentorship, professional networking, and financial aid.
The organization in partnership with CSUN's National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) student chapters focuses on the following core initiatives for the CSUN Andrew J. Anagnost College of Engineering & Computer Science alumni and students:

Maintain a robust professional network for MEP alumni to reconnect with the community, recent graduates, and the CSUN Andrew J. Anagnost College of Engineering & Computer Science.
Awards & Recognition:
Showcase alumni accomplishments to inspire K-12 students and current CSUN engineering organizations. Elevate the visibility and reputation of the MEP Alumni Chapter, the CSUN Andrew J. Anagnost College of Engineering & Computer Science, CSUN's National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) chapters, and California State University, Northridge.
Scholarships:
Offer financial support to promote academic excellence and ease the academic barriers for underrepresented students, particularly those active in CSUN's National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) chapters.
Membership in the chapter is free It serves as a great way for alumni to give back to the next generation of engineers, computer scientist and STEM professionals.
