Edward Gika has been an educator and administrator for over 25 years. As a Cum Laude graduate from California State University, Northridge (C.S.U.N.), he holds Master’s Degrees in both English and Humanities. Mr. Gika has served as both an English instructor and Humanities instructor, as well as an administrator at all educational levels from middle school through university. Mr. Gika began his teaching career at C.S.U.N., where he taught English, Creative writing, and E.S.L. courses. -- KHTS
Gallaudet University Names Room After Beloved Deaf Community Leader
Burdett graduated from Gallaudet with a degree in computer studies and a minor in business administration. He later earned a master's degree in special education and rehabilitation from California State University, Northridge. After graduating from Gallaudet, Burdett worked for Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Stanford University and Ohlone College, in Fremont, Calif. At Ohlone, he was dean of deaf studies and special services. Burdett served as president of the California Association Post-Education of the Disabled, which oversaw 107 community colleges, eight California state universities and three universities of California. -- Spoke

Finish in Four’ is new mantra for California State University
CSU Northridge has seen more of its students passing remedial math after integrating workshops into the course that teach students how to change their response to failure and reduce test anxiety. Remedial classes are not offered for credit and can therefore become a roadblock to progressing toward a degree. -- Sacramento Bee

The San Fernando Valley-raised artist examines some of our city’s more quotidian landscapes in a series of painted works that take sprawl and the suburban as points of inspiration.
