A: I started in the financial industry as a loan officer when I was 18. I had two jobs and was going to college at Cal State Northridge. I worked as a loan officer at a credit union and was a mortgage broker. I loved it. I was a young college kid making huge commissions. Then in 2007, it all came to a crashing halt. Exploring the magic and mystery of mushrooms with the LA Mycological Society

"There's an otherworldliness to them," said David Bermudes, a microbiologist at Cal State Northridge who leads a monthly mushroom class for mycological society members at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. "Plants and animals seem so familiar - we see them all the time. But we don't spend 365 days a year with mushrooms. There's an unfamiliarity there that's intriguing." -- phys.org

Scott earned his MFA from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre at Pepperdine University and also teaches at CSUN and UCLA. He is member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, SAG-AFTRA, AEA, SDC and the Actor's Studio Playwrights/Directors Unit, and is also a proud alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theater Director's Lab West -- Broadway World Los Angeles
