Roadrunner Connection: Max Carter named Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year

Two years later Hayden Carter, who I witnessed as a freshman slowly develop as a pitcher, someone who honestly I questioned at times on the mound during his first few years, turned it around and won CSUB’s second Pitcher of the Year honor. Not only did he win that, he also pitched two games on short rest that week to help CSUB win the WAC Championship. Then he put the finishing touches on his career by beating Ole Miss 2-1 and eliminating the Rebels from the UCLA Regional a week later. He’s now a graduate assistant coach at Cal State Northridge. -- Tehachapi News
