Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Joshua Bell Returns to The Soraya

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields returns to the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) for the fourth time with its renowned Music Director and violinist, Grammy Award winner Joshua Bell. As one of the world's premier chamber orchestras, the Academy is well-known for its invigorating renditions of the world's most-loved classical music. Joshua Bell is one of the most celebrated violinists of his era, and his restless curiosity, passion, and multi-faceted musical interests are almost unparalleled in the world of classical music. The orchestra will be performing Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4, Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 and the Los Angeles premiere of American composer Edgar Meyer's violin concerto Overture for Violin and Orchestra, written for Bell and the Academy. Los Angeles to host conference dedicated to 400th anniversary of Armenians’ arrival to the US

Massis Post – The Ararat-Eskijian Museum (AEM), the National Association for Armenian Studies and Research (NAASR), Project SAVE Armenian Photograph Archives, The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI) in Yerevan, Armenia, and the California State University Northridge Armenian Studies Program, have announced an upcoming conference dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first Armenian to America, ‘Martin the Armenian’ (Virginia, 1618). UCSB’s Drew Edelman is Repeat First-Team All-Big West Selection

CSUN's Channon Fluker was named Player of the Year for the second straight season while also being named Defensive Player of the Year. Cal Poly's Ayzhiana Basallo and Dye Stahley were recognized as Best Sixth Player and Best Hustle Player, respectively, while UC Irvine's Jordan Sanders was named Freshman of the Year.
