'Krypton' composer Pinar Toprak and her journey to writing music for TV and film
Toprak got a degree in film scoring, then moved to L.A. and earned a master’s in composition at Cal State Northridge. She interned at Paramount Pictures, then got a job working for Zimmer. She’s mostly scored off-the-beaten-path projects during the past 15 years, but she recently wrote some additional music for “Justice League” with Danny Elfman. Stephen Squires is a musician with a career that blends his passions for conducting, teaching, and performing. Fully committed to conducting the music of living composers, he has premiered more than 80 new works. Squires received his musical training at the Preparatory School of the Eastman School of Music and the Crane School of Music, in his home state of New York. He earned his master's degree in instrumental conducting/trumpet performance at California State University, Northridge. Further conducting studies were with Helmuth Rilling, Maurice Abravanel, Daniel Lewis, Tsung Yeh, and at the Aspen Music Festival. He is professor of conducting in the Music Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Roosevelt University. Prior to this appointment, he served on the artist faculty of the Northern Illinois School of Music for 19 years, where he received the prestigious "Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award." -- Chicago Daily Herald

In 2013, she co-curated a “Lorca in Vermont” exhibit at the CUNY Graduate Center, part of a citywide “Lorca in New York” festival. A graduate of the University of Delaware and California State University at Northridge, Billingsley worked as a software usability analyst before becoming a communications specialist at Smith College. Lions make it official: Collins is football coach
Collins, the offensive coordinator during the team’s run to the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 championship in the fall, was a wide receiver at Cal State Northridge and in the Canadian Football League for the Edmonton Eskimos. Collins, formerly a head coach at Manual Arts in Los Angeles, takes over for Jim Benkert.
