NEWS AND NOTES FROM PRESS ROW: Gahr, Valley Christian football squads get set for tough quarterfinal games

A trio of Cerritos High softball players signed letter of intents last Wednesday to play collegiate ball. Senior first baseman Kiarra Crockett-Pope will be taking her talents to California State University, Northridge, junior outfielder Kristina Mendez has signed to play at El Paso Community College and senior pitcher Jennifer Morinishi is headed to nearby Biola University. All three helped the Lady Dons to a 20-6 record last spring and a Suburban League title. -- Los Cerritos News

Matadors Release 2018 Baseball Schedule

Fifty-seven games including 15 matchups with 2017 NCAA Tournament teams highlight the 2018 CSUN Baseball schedule. The Matadors will face six NCAA Regional squads along with five reigning conference champions, six teams with a 2017 Top 75 RPI and 11 teams with winning records. CSUN will also take on three teams for the first time in program history during the 2018 campaign. -- SCV News

Matadors Add Three Recruits During Early Signing Period

CSUN Men’s Basketball head coach Reggie Theus has announced the signings of transfers Jordan Bell, Josh Jefferson and Amel Kuljuhovic to national letters of intent. Bell, a sophomore, played his freshman season at Northwestern State University in 2016-17 while Jefferson and Kuljuhovic are currently playing their sophomore seasons at Lake Land College in Matoon, IL. All three are eligible to suit up for the Matadors beginning in the 2018-19 season. -- SCV News
