WOW Awards Honor Technology Initiatives in Higher Education

The winning projects include: California State University Northridge in Los Angeles had an AppJam competition in which it challenged students to create apps that could then be used by faculty members to enhance learning. Four of the apps have already been designed, tested and published in the App Store. Others are in the pipeline. -- Campus Technology

He is an accidental broadcaster. He needed money as a student at Central Michigan University, so he took a job as a janitor at a radio station. The general manager heard Enberg’s voice and put him on the air, but Enberg earned his doctorate in health sciences and pursued a career in education. Purcell joined iPayment in 2012, and currently serves as the company's Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. He has held numerous executive leadership positions throughout his career, most recently with Intuit, Inc., where he served as Vice President Finance, Intuit Financial Services.
