The Kansas State baseball team’s offense broke out with a six-run ninth inning late Monday night, highlighted by a go-ahead, two-run double from Jordan Maxson to go with a two-run triple by Chris Ceballos, as the Wildcats claimed an 11-5 victory to earn a series split with Cal State-Northridge at Matador Field. -- Topeka Capital-Journal - KS

Big West Player of the Week is Channon Fluker, Cal State Northridge

Cal State Northridge’s Channon Fluker was named the Big West Player of the Week for games played last week. It is the 14th time in her career that Fluker has taken home the weekly award, putting her in sole position for most all time Player of the Week honors in the Big West Conference. She was previously tied with New Mexico State’s Anita Maxwell who had 13. -- High Post Hoops

Frosh Watch: Jalen Pickett's 46-point performance vaults him into top 10 of best freshmen in college basketball

Cal State Northridge's frosh star Lamine Diane remains the most utilized player in all of college basketball with a Division I-leading 38.4 percent usage rate, and he's making good on it by pouring in 24.1 points per night. He leads the Big West in scoring, blocks and rebounding on the year, and ranks inside the top 5 in steals. In two games this week for the Matadors, he scored 20 and 25 points, respectively, while grabbing a combined 26 rebounds. -- CBS Sports
