Before You Register - First-Time Freshmen
  1. Find out if you need to take the summer Early Start Program. Early Start prepares you for success in freshman math and/or written communication before your fall classes begin. Read more: CSUN Early Start Program
  2. File intent to register by May 1, 2020. No fee is charged to file intent. Helpful: Intent to Register Guide
  3. New Student Orientation is mandatory (and fun!) for First-Time Freshmen. Find the date and sign up at Orientation.
  4. Enroll in classes with your academic advisor during your advising appointment. Starting May 26, 2020, check the instructions for your designated advisement center to schedule your appointment. Review the "Academic Advisement" Next Step below, especially the "Freshman Advising Checklist."
Before enrolling in classes, all CSUN students must complete the Title IX "Not Anymore" online workshop to remove the related registration hold.
